HSCA is always looking for volunteers! We need volunteers for community events like Clothing Distribution Days, Bow River Clean-up, Charity Casinos, Seniors Christmas Dinner, and the list certainly goes on. We also need volunteers to serve on our Standing Committees and Special Task Force Groups.

Standing Committees
- Community Planning Committee (CPC) – CPC reviews and makes recommendations on applications for development permits in the area. Interested individuals should Contact David White, Chair of the CPC at hscaplanningcommittee@gmail.com)
- Community Vitalization Committee - discusses a broad range of topics and works on initiatives designed to promote a healthy and vibrant community! Interested individuals should contact Kerri Treherne, Chair of the CVC at hscavitalization@gmail.com)
- Communications Committee – supports the association in its’ communications efforts both internally and externally. Contact the Communications Committee at hscacomm@gmail.com.
- Heritage Committee - goal is to foster and develop an awareness of the cultural and architectural history of the Hillhurst and Sunnyside communities with a goal of maximum preservation. Please contact us at hscaheritagecommittee@gmail.com.
General Volunteer Opportunities
Community Rink Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help us maintain the ice rink this winter. Duties would include watering the rink and clearing snow. Please call Richard or Mark if you can help at 403-283-0554 ext 230.
