GOAL: To assist people aged 60 years and older to remain safely independent in their homes
Outreach Social Workers provide information, supportive counselling, help with completing forms and advocacy
We May be able to help you:
- If you live in an older home that needs repair
- If you want someone to check your pensions to make sure you are getting all you can
- If you would like help with information about glasses, dental work, house appliances, walkers etc.
- If you need transportation
- If you feel isolated and would like information about attending seniors programs or have a volunteer visitor
- If you have health problems and need help with them
- If it is hard for you to make your meals (or you are just tired of it!) and woul dlike information on meal or grocery delivery programs
- If you would like information about home repairs, yard work, housekeeping, snow removal, personal directives, power of attorney or any subject pertaining to seniors
