CPC Decisions

707 14 Street. Change of use:  child care service.
Decision:  Supported.  The proposed use is for a drop in child care facility only as the site does not have the required infrastructure (i.e. outside play structure) necessary for a full-time facility.

615 15 Street. Single family dwelling.
Decision:  Not supported.  There 2 balconies at the rear – one on the third storey – that cause privacy/overlooking concerns.  The 15% rule is not addressed and the home is over height.  Further clarification was required as to the lot coverage and whether or not there are any windows looking into those on adjacent homes.

March 16, 2009

234 11 Street. Single family dwelling.
Decision:  Not supported.  There were several concerns relating to the ARP guidelines and bylaw requirements.  The lot coverage exceeds 45%, there is privacy and overshadowing resulting from the rear deck and entrance, the 15% height compatibility guideline is not addressed.

1701 Broadview Road. Music instruction business.
Decision:  Supported for another one year term.  Home occupations are generally supported and a term allows for continued evaluation of any potential noise issues.
