In 2011 a new playround was built! We were so fortunate to have worked with Foresters and with KaBOOM! to revitalize the HSCA playground. The playground serves the children who use it on a daily basis at Churchill Park Day Care, and is open to the public for evenings and weekends. In that way the maximum amount of play can happen here. Our play place serves kids who live across the street at the Brenda Strafford Centre, across the field in the Thornton Court Apartments and those young kids living throughout Hillhurst. The playground replaced an existing playground structure located on our lease site at 1320 – 5th Avenue NW, immediately adjacent to the HSCA Centre.
